I”m on shaky ground here and I might lose half of our readership by posting this. Most of the country hates the Patriots, but I’m admitting here that I’m a huge Patriots fan and huge Tom Brady fan.

There is a new commercial out and I”m not really a fan of the product and it looks a little too 1984 for me, but there is an interesting detail. Tom Brady is wearing number 199. That’s the number in the draft order that Brady was taken. He probably is the best quarterback that ever lived and he was taken number 199 in the draft. He uses that to motivate him and it certainly seems to work for him. It works for his sponsor as well, as these shirts sold out almost immediately.

The stupid BS about supposedly deflated footballs was also good fodder for shirts with supporters and detractors both coming up with many mostly not clever t-shirts.

There also was my favorite, a shirt of the absolutely horrendous courtroom sketch of Brady done when he was at court defending himself about the deflated balls suspension (of course he won.)
