I asked friends in the industry where fashion is going and got quite a few similar responses. I’ll put a few up today and tomorrow.
We just designed a shirt on this alternative apparel piece which is a football retro-looking shirt. It hits a few bases that fashion is headed toward: sporty and retro sporty looks, more heathers, and lighter and softer fabrics.

Andrea Engel from Alphabroder identified a few trends that she sees coming on strong:
1. Neons/Bright continue to be on trend, including garment-dyed softer neons. That is a neon red pocket T from Comfort Colors above.
2. Prints/Patterns– Ditsy florals, camou, americana– all of these are strong. You’ve got a couple tanks from Alternative Apparel showing that trend.
3. Sporty/Athletic looks are also trending- sleeve stripes, ringers (ringer tanks) classic 70’s look sporty looks. The “football” shirt fits in that category.
4. Tanks and Pockets from a silhouette basis are also very strong. The Comfort Color piece shows that as well as the Alternative Racerback.
