Printing on garments has really come a long way and nowhere is that more apparent than in the winning prints for the FESPA Awards 2014. Once printers in the States ruled the world, but no longer. The winning prints at FESPA are incredible and they come from shops in Russia and Poland. From super fine details to 3-D effects to lenticular prints, the rest of the world is on the rise. The level of detail in particular was so great that one person in our party thought they were digital prints (and after all, it is a digital show.) Prize winning show shirts aren’t necessarily production runs, but it’s cool to see what the best of the best can produce.
This lenticular print of Jimi Hendrix has three images that vary depending on the angle you view it from.
The level of detail on this snowy village print is really impressive.
Our friends at LYNKA in Poland had a winning entry with this leafy green goddess and used environmentally friendly water-based inks to do it.
It was hard to capture in a photo, but the orange print on this shirt probably stands about 1/8″ tall and feels really cool!
This print has a mix of silver and gold metallic. Don’t try this at home, kids!
Incredible detail on these prints.
Great stuff, printers all over the world keep raising the bar as to what can be done in terms of decorating garments.
