Veni, Vidi, Vici…
We saw new things and old friends and then made new friends. We drank beers with Andy Mac and then he showed us all how to print posters like the OG poster printing machine that he is (thanks Andy). We raised money for a great cause and had fun in the process and then we partied with SanMar because they were raising money for the same great cause. We talked shop at Shop Talk and then we did a happy hour and then Aimee got a tattoo. We went to Philz with Young Aundee and Brian and Ben and then the next day we did it again. We took Chris to dinner on his birthday (happy birthday Chris!). We went to RuckUs with most of you and then Brett made buddies with Sugar Ray while Seth and I went for a dangerous late night bike ride around downtown Long Beach. We packed it up, we said goodbye, we went home.
This is Part 1 in a series on the first annual Impressions Expo (formerly ISS) which took place in beautiful Long Beach, CA. Here’s what we’ll be covering this week…
RuckUs
I must say that our friends at Impressions and Ryonet (along with the support of most of the industry) certainly did cause a ruckus. Thousands of us congregated for a 90’s throwback concert featuring Sugar Ray and Sublime…
Live Poster Printing
Friend of the Ink Kitchen and flatstock print legend Andy MacDougal, of Squeegeeville, helped us with a live print activation to raise funds for Surfrider Foundation…
Shop Talk
Shop Talk was back for the second year in a row. With the support of Hanes and Hirsch the Ink Kitchen over the course of three days pulled together some of the best and brightest minds of the apparel decorating community to share their wisdom on a wide range of topics…
The Show Floor
So much to see, from people to presses to prints, new fashions and classic styles…
The above is very refreshing. The energy is wonderful. Keep it up. It’s all about the passion of expression. ?
