LBU Inc. and Donray Printing Join Forces

LBU Inc. and Donray Printing  have joined forces creating a faster and more complete U.S. Based manufacturing platform. Despite so many statements about the death of US Manufacturing, some folks like LBU and Donray are innovative thriving businesses right here in the U S of A. Ink Kitchen has had Ray give talks on sublimation at numerous trade shows and besides his great sense of humor, the guy knows as much as anybody in the world about sublimation and if he vouches for LBU, they are clearly top notch as well.

LBU Inc., a vertically integrated U.S. manufacturer based in Pasterson, NJ  announced that Donray Printing, a long-standing New Jersey-based sublimation printing company, has officially merged into LBU and will operate under the LBU umbrella. Their specialty is bags but they make all kinds of specialized sewn and decorated items, check out their website for more on their capabilities. Their motto is “Success isn’t just in the bag, it’s in the hands that made them.”

Founded in 1986, Donray Printing has built a strong reputation as one of the world’s most expert facilities for offset and digital sublimation printing, supporting a wide range of applications across apparel, soft goods, and specialty products. With this merger, all of Donray’s state-of-the-art printing equipment and supporting machinery will be integrated directly into LBU’s production ecosystem, significantly expanding in-house capabilities and speed to market.

“This is a big step forward for LBU and for our customers,” said Jordan Scaduto, Partner and EVP of LBU Inc. “By bringing Donray fully into LBU, we’re not just adding printing capacity. We’re bringing decades of sublimation expertise, proven processes, and top-tier equipment under one roof. Combined with our cut-and-sew, assembly, and finishing capabilities, this truly moves us closer to being a complete one-stop shop that can move faster without sacrificing quality.”

Donray’s roots trace back to early sublimation work in New Jersey, led by founder Art Ferriola, who helped introduce and grow sublimation printing in the region before launching Donray Printing in 1986. Over the years, the company evolved alongside the industry, expanding facilities, investing in advanced equipment, and shifting toward higher-value finished products while continuing to support manufacturers with printed sublimation paper and technical know-how.

“For us, this merger is about focus and momentum,” said Ray Ferriola, who will continue leading Donray’s printing operations within LBU. “Sublimation is a technical craft. It’s about understanding materials, color, consistency, and scale. By joining LBU, we’re combining that deep printing knowledge with their production strength and infrastructure. Together, we can deliver faster turnarounds, tighter quality control, and more complete solutions for customers who want everything handled in one place. As we have done for the past 40 years, we will, of course, continue to supply quality sublimation paper to our customers spread over a myriad of industries and products to aid in their manufacturing processes.”

These folks get the Ink Kitchen seal of approval, check out LBU and the new in-house capabilities.
