The Ink Kitchen goes to FESPA Digital 2014 – part three

Improvements to digital printing on fabric, improvements to transfers for textile, improvements to sublimation on fabric, and yes even improvements for screenprinting on textiles. In many ways it is an exciting time to be a decorator of garments because so many techniques are possible and they all seem to be improving.

The look on this Kornit employee is priceless, yes the print is amazing. DTG printing used to look acceptable and now sometimes looks fantastic.

At the FESPA there are a huge number of companies in the digital direct field and sublimation field that are showing substrates which improve the quality of the image for signs and banners. As so often is the case. I believe you can see the future of your own industry not at your industry’s trade shows, but at some other. I’m sure we will see many improvements to garment substrates (i.e. shirts) in the near future that will improve DTG and sublimation printing.

Europeans (and the rest of the world besides the USA seem to be ahead on using recycled and recyclable materials for digital and sublimation printing.
