The Ink Kitchen goes to FESPA Digital 2014– part four

The FESPA digital show in Munich was not only a great exposition on what is going on in printing, but it also shows the potential for trade shows themselves to be so much more than what we typically see in the US of A.

This is not exactly what we see when we go for a coffee or something to eat at a USA trade show. Not only is the food light years ahead, but just look at it visually!

Not your average USA trade show "snack bar", more like German raising the bar with a bar.

A sure sign of an industry doing well, check out the “upstairs” seen at this and several booths at the digital show. Geezer that I am, I still remember screenprinting suppliers having that luxury. Screenprinting is alive and well and in some ways flourishing, but the new development is being pushed more in digital and sublimation.

In Europe at a trade show they sure know how to enjoy themselves more than at a typical US show.

Having a good time while doing business means a few beer in Germany (obviously.)

One thing that is really cool about this show is how the aesthetics of the booths are so great. Many booths just look great, very pleasing to the eye.

Another creative booth design, extremely striking to see from the show floor.
Very cool booth, entire large booth around an ocean theme, very dramatic from the actual floor covering to what was printing on all the machines.
