Serigraphie Artisinale en Pérouge, L’atelier Bien Encré (Artisanal Screenprinting in France. The Well-Inked Studio)

The medieval town of Pérouge, population 80 persons. In the countryside, outside of Lyon, France.
Proving you can find screenprinters everywhere, Aesa, a screenprinter born in Paris, trained in Lyon (a city known for silk apparently also had silkscreening.) She now resides in this small town selling her art prints and the art of other local artists.
Her shop, “The Well-Inked Studio”

Sales in the front, printing both in the back on the same floor and up on a second floor. Quite a beautiful inspiring setting to create art. No wonder she was a delightfully welcoming and happy, right!

As she said, “equipment is expensive, so I make things myself.” One of her drying racks made of clothespins (les pince à linge.)

Cards, prints, framed prints and tote bags all made in the back. Pretty delightful stuff to find on a medieval hillside.
